Alinne grew up a rural area where she did not have access to education. Now in her twenties, she has a son yet no way to earn an adequate income. Because of this, she has been living alone in a tent city ever since the earthquake while she is forced to have her aunt care for her child. She went back to school with the hope of one day becoming a nurse, but she currently doesn’t have enough money to finish her senior year of high school. This scholarship will enable her to graduate and build a better future for her and her son

It all starts with access to education. For RISING Students, this means providing whatever each student needs to return to school–tuition, uniforms, lunches, and more.
We all need the help of people who've been there before. RISING mentors care for and encourage the holistic growth of each student–mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
These are the tools students need to succeed, such as access to computers and the Internet and a local Resource Center to study, connect, and grow together.
