Wood Mailler is the youngest in his family. His father left when he was only three years old, leaving his mother alone in raising him and his siblings. This was a struggle and though she found work with a local church, it was still not quite enough to support the family. Wood Mailler was forced to drop of school on multiple occasions as a result of not having enough money. Despite the challenges he and his family have faced, he is a strong young man that believes in the power education. This scholarship will help Wood Mailler complete his final year in high school.

Education
It all starts with access to education. For RISING Students, this means providing whatever each student needs to return to school–tuition, uniforms, lunches, and more.
Mentoring
We all need the help of people who've been there before. RISING mentors care for and encourage the holistic growth of each student–mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Resources
These are the tools students need to succeed, such as access to computers and the Internet and a local Resource Center to study, connect, and grow together.
